Lewis Hamilton was invited to the Royal Box for the tennis at Wimbledon. And wasn’t let in, because not wearing jacket and tie.

someone around here said it perfectly: every time this guy opens his mouth, or even shows up in public now, i dislike him more and more.

I don’t see why he shouldn’t wear a dress if he wants.

I don’t get you people, the media hounds these guys, you think you would be perfect all the time under pressure to perform on track and live up to everyone off track? He can drive better than you, thats all you should care about.

While i do believe Lewis has an ego issue, i also believe that any event that mandates formal attire for entry is not worth attending.

Invite to the Royal Box at Wimbledon is abit more than just watching a tennis match. Theres a high chance you’ll be there with the queen or atleast some senior royals, so does seem slightly silly to turn up in a t shirt. That being said, he has lots of PR people with him, one of them could have given him a heads up too.

It’s most certainly silly, but as a native coastal Californian, formal means wearing shoes. ;)
